The Big D's talking it out at pbbans

Heylo all,
Yes I was in the pbbans irc channel inquiring about a global ban on a guid. This is an excerpt from said conversation, and I'm sharing it with you all so that everyone will know a bit about how guids are made.

<Duality> GUID is then calculated from the EA Account
<Duality> so, he needs an entirely new copy of the game, a new account and a new soldier

This is of course hearsay, but be that as it may, I think that an admin at pbbans would be more in the know about these things than I certainly would be.

He has 2 guids on pbbans. The one that is banned was first seen on March 22nd and was banned on March 23rd. The one that is not banned was first seen on March 5th. Take what you want from this. I believe it points to him not having hacked the entire time.

all i know is that it said aimbot #50116 he must of dl it installed it and played with it ... i vote hacker until i c proof

when I found out about bright's plight, if you will, the only thing he said was that he was aware and that he had already filed an appeal.

Having known bright for as long as I have, and taking into consideration the fact that he has only a single, CLEAN guid for bf2142, I will of course give him the benefit of the doubt, and hope evenbalance finds cause to remove the ban.

btw, bright was not my reason for going to pbbans.

Wow Erbal, Undiplomatic, Impressive! You Sound A tad bit as cynical as myself.

PBBans assigns numbers next to every ban. bright's ban had #50116 labeled next to his ban. It is associated mostly with a known hacking site. If it was a legit program running in his background it would be a different set of numbers. In the mbi you may search by PB numbers. Search his number and you'd be surprised how many people have the same numbers and during the same time frame were caught. None that appealed were lifted.

Choose for yourself, I am also waiting to see the outcome of his appeal. If he's even appealing.

I myself have a banned GUID. Yes, me. PB's response was that they have no proof that it was me that hacked, but that something "interfered" with the normal function of PB "associated" with my GUID. I however have no "PB numbers", no reason assigned to my ban. Literally banned with no reason. That would be what Darkne55 was inquiring about.

im sort of pissed off cause first off i HAD alot of respect for bright and to have to wonder if he cheated in 2142 all those years yes years is truly sad . most of all im happy cause any way u look at it his ban said aimbot not game hook or multihack theres no mistaking it . i dont buy into his appeal.
i know many ppl playin online games personally and i have only once heard of someone getting pbd unjustly if u dont fuck around with the program more than likly u wont ever see aimbot next to ur name .have fun tring to beat the wrap bright

I agree with your assessment, however I also see Odin's P.O.V. Which is rare. However in Bright's case, It was an Aimbot. He may or may not have used it in 2142, but proof is scarce; and to prove one way or the other is virtually impossible, unless one can read minds or souls. I will give him the benefit of the doubt in 2142. As For BFBC2, I would default to PBBANS. Mostly because I haven't played BFBC2 and don't know much about the game play.

With all that is being thrown out here, I will say this; Erbal, You have garnered more respect from me, not only as a knifer, but as a fellow GW Member!

Is there like a monthly news letter of people we know who get busted by punk buster? J/w how everyone finds out, i would have no idea if any of you got popped...That or Darkness does a monthly status report on us haha
