| Me and Zix have stopped working on the paintball mod for now, and are working on another mod (no name yet) which is going to be primarily server side, but with custom maps. These will be placed in your default mods/bf2142/levels folder. There will be nothing else to download, hopefully making it easier to play. If you were wondering if you would be able to play normal 2142 with our custom maps in your levels folder, the answer is yes. The custom maps are not included in the content check by the server or Punkbuster. This also means you dont have to worry about making a new mod shortcut or anything, you just start up your normal bf2142.
Ok, so the mod is going to be like that first one we made (u might remember it: pistols make u fly, tons of explosions, podsurfing, etc), except less random, and more gameplay based. I've started making some maps and i'd like to see what you guys think of it so far.

This goes in C:/program files/electronic arts/battlefield 2142/mods/bf2142/levels. When you extract it make sure it creates a new folder 'Iceberg' that has a folder and 2 .zips. If it doesnt and just creates the 'info' folder and the client and server .zips, manually create a new folder called 'Iceberg' and place those in it.
Open up 2142, go to multiplayer > local> create local> make sure you have conquest as the gamemode and try it.
(if you're wondering why the transports are floating 3 feet in the air where they spawn, its because i cant load them into the editor so i had to position them with notepad :/ )
***EDIT*** Sorry about that, posted a glitched version of the map. I'll get a working one up asap.
